New practice guidelines: focus on long-term dental health!

21.03.2024

Find out about the five pillars of the new guidelines of your Kamilla pediatric and adolescent dental practice in Mainz.

As a strong team, we are committed to the dental health of our young patients every day. One of our most important goals is to maintain dental health in the long term.

We have therefore developed and introduced new practice guidelines that all team members follow. They aim to treat dental damage effectively and take preventative measures to ensure that dental problems do not occur in the first place.

The five pillars of the new practice guidelines are:

  • Assess caries activity: A thorough assessment of caries activity will identify at an early stage whether caries disease is present and to what extent.
  • Limit damage: Once diagnosed, targeted measures are taken to limit damage to the child's teeth and prevent further deterioration.
  • Change risk parameters: Through individual counseling and guidance, risk factors are identified and targeted to minimize the risk of future dental disease.
  • Enable healthy growth: Particular attention is paid to supporting healthy growth of the teeth and jaws. This also has many positive effects on overall health.
  • Maintaining healthy teeth for a lifetime: The long-term goal of the practice is to maintain natural teeth for a lifetime. Children's dental care, treatment and prophylaxis is the basis for this.

We firmly believe that through a combination of preventive care and individualized treatment, every patient receives the best possible dental care at Kamilla.
